LESSON PLAN

 

SCHOOL                              : SDN 119 PALEMBANG

LESSON                             : MATHEMATICS

GRADE                                 : V

SEMESTER                          : II

DURATION                          : 70 MINUTES

 

A.    Standard of Competency

Using fraction in problem solving

B.     Basic Competency

Multiplicating and dividing some kinds of fraction

C.    Indicator

Ø  Doing division operation in some kinds of fractions.

Fraction Operation

F.     Learning Activity

a.       Preliminary Activity

·         Teacher open the learning by asking the students about their study experience of mathematics.

·         Teacher gives mathematical motivation to the students by telling them the function of mathematics in daily life

·         Teacher makes question and answer session about prerequisite material of the material which will be taught that is addition and substraction operation of integer, and the multiplication of fraction

b.      Main Activity

Ø  Teacher divides the students into eight groups consisting five students of each group

Ø  Teacher gives worksheer to each group

Ø  Teacher gives 3 ropes in the lenght of 0,5 m, 2,5 m, and 3,5 m to each group

Ø  Teacher gives some guides how to do exercises in the worksheet.

Ø  The students cut the ropes, as instructed in the worksheet, by using 0,5 m rope as the measuring rope and write down the answer.

Ø  Teacher asks the students to write down the proces of divition in mathematical sentence. If there is a student who are not able writing down or do not answer correctly, then the teacher only directs and gives the student a directing question toward the expected answer. 

Ø  Based on the obtained result in the former stage, teacher gives opportunity to the students to pay attention comprehensively and to compare some results provided in mathematical sentence, then the students will come to their conclusion. If the students can not find it, the teacher gives direction till the students are able to conclude it correctly (the students are delivered to the formal stage).

Ø  Teacher gives confirmation toward the students’ answer.

Ø  Based on the conclusion which has been formulated, teacher asks the students to do exercise in the worksheet

Ø  Teacher asks some of the students to write down the answers in the whiteboard.

Ø  Teacher makes session of question and answer with other students about their friend’s answers, and give the students opportunity to comment the answers, and the teacher gives analysis the answers based on students’ answer.

Ø  Teacher gives confirmation toward something that the students do not know yet.

c.       Closing Activity

Teacher gives homework to the students.
